Festival of Lohri celebrates harvesting and good times with friends and family. Dressing up in traditional clothing and wearing the latest trend is a great source of pride for both women and men. It gives newlyweds a new reason to sashay around in their best makeovers at the festival.
In celebration of this occasion, Richa Agarwal from Cleopatra Chain of Salons and Makeovers created traditional looks and makeovers that defined the season’s style and defined new trends in fashion and makeup. Both earthly and sun-inspired looks were characterized by the use of aurelian and golden hues. There was a festive feel to these traditional looks that conveyed happiness and vibrancy. Women were dressed in traditional punjabi clothing, hairstyles with stunning accessories, and traditional yet bold makeovers for the festival.
Gold, yellow, and red were used in the unusual combinations to make a medley of looks. ” We are in the middle of a difficult time and have gone through a period of dullness, but now the new year has begun and specifically Lohri is a festival of prosperity and harvesting, so we have chosen this occasion to highlight fashion and make-up in a vibrant way. We also used silver and gold glitter for this look to give it a more traditional elegance and charm.
Although the makeovers were traditionally styled, they were very young and fresh in aesthetic appeal and offered a way to connect youth with the richness of Punjab’s culture and fashion, which remains vibrant and captivating while remaining elegant and graceful.
Harveen Kathuria, Beauty Expert, joined the occasion and said, “This time we have made special effort to launch photo-friendly makeups because women and even men love to share their looks and styles on social media, thus we also shared some photo-friendly makeup tricks with women to shine on during the Lohri festival. As women of Chandigarh gathered at Cleopatra to celebrate the festivity, they danced around the bonfire while relishing popcorns, rewari, gazaks, and peanuts.
